Siemens to implement electrification of Gujarat metro link express

In a massive infrastructure boost to the state of Gujarat, the Indian mass-transit operator Metro Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) Company Limited has awarded an order of approximately INR 579 crore (Euro 76.04 million) to the consortium of Siemens Limited India and Siemens AG, Germany for electrification of the 39.2-kilometer metro express link in Ahmedabad. Siemens to manufacture new generation of photovoltaic inverters in India

Siemens India launched with Sinacon PV a new generation of photovoltaic (PV) central inverters with an output up to 5,000 kVA. The inverter is part of the Siemens new electrical Balance of Plant (eBoP) solution for PV power plant installations. The new Scalance SC-600 industrial security appliances have a firewall (stateful inspection firewall) with a data throughput of up to 600 Megabits per second (Mbit/s).
