Pennwalt offers Super-D-Canter, a specially developed solid bowl Continuous Horizontal Centrifuge for effective separation of slurries into liquid and solid phase. The Super-D-Canter can handle a wide range of solid particles from 6 mm dia to a few microns and a slurry concentration varying from 0.5 percentage to over 65 percentage w/w. Typical applications are: animal blood, calcium carbonate, coal tailings, distillery stillage DMT, fish liquors, fruit juices and pulp, industrial effluent sludges, instant tea, insulin, nuclear effluent sludge, polymers, polystyrene, PTA, PVC, slop oil, sodium sulphate, titanium dioxide. Centrifugal force: up to 3000 times g. Capacity: 1000 to 25000 LPH of slurry, and 200 kg to 2000 kg/hr of dry solids. The products are manufactured based on the technology acquired from Sharples-Stokes Division, Pennwalt Corporation, U.S.A. The Indian operations were founded in the year 1959, the company established its marketing, manufacturing and R&D centre in 1978. This was done for the production of its full range of separation equipments for chemical processing biotechnology applications and effluent treatment applications encompassing the decanter centrifuge, tubular bowl centrifuge, vibrating screen and turnkey process plants. The company also manufactures water chlorinator and peristaltic hose pumps of international standards.
