With the increasing relevance of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) in national infrastructure and defence, BonV Aero, an innovative Indian logistics drone manufacturer, is reshaping the aerial mobility sector with smart, dual-purpose unmanned systems designed to aid both military logistics and last-mile relief delivery in disaster scenarios.

Developed with a modular architecture and backed by Indian innovation, BonV Aero’s UAVs have already demonstrated their capabilities along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and in critical deployments across remote regions of Northeast India.

“Our UAVs are built for swift deployment. From base to forward posts for the Indian Army or emergency missions in disaster-hit zones, our drones are always ready to operate across challenging terrains,” said Satyabrata Satapathy, Co-founder and CEO of BonV Aero.

This dual-functionality allows the modular multipod payloads and AI-integrated indigenous flight systems to switch roles seamlessly between tactical and civilian missions.

During the recent flash floods in Sikkim, BonV operated its UAVs alongside disaster response teams and the Indian Army.

A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) drone was mobilised during the landslide to locate missing army personnel and civilians. Given the treacherous terrain and unsafe conditions, traditional rescue efforts on foot were not feasible. BonV’s aerial support, powered by its mature GPR drone technology, became critical for accurate detection and effective recovery operations.

With over ten years of aerospace expertise, BonV’s leadership has engineered a system that thrives in rugged environments, withstands high wind conditions, and manages battery performance in extreme temperatures.

BonV Aero’s technologies are fully aligned with the Ministry of Defence’s Make in India initiative, delivering both strategic independence and global market readiness.

“Our technology lies at the crossroads of self-reliance and scale. What supports a soldier on the LAC today could aid a farmer or a schoolchild in India’s remotest areas,” said Abinash Sahoo, Co-founder and CTO of BonV Aero.

As the aviation sector shifts toward automation and resilience, BonV Aero exemplifies how Indian-origin technology can bridge military readiness with humanitarian needs—from border security to disaster-struck interiors.
