Sealants

Ahura offers a Sealant, Sealite. This is synthetic rubber mastic sealant for a wide variety of uses. The material is tacky, yet can be moulded to any shape, by hand without soiling the hands. It will stick to any substrate including, polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon etc. It is self-amalgamating i.e. layers flow into one another to form a uniform body of material. It can withstand temperatures of - 80 to 120°C continuously, has excellent dielectric properties and is highly resistant to all outdoor weathering conditions, including U.V. radiation. Applications: used for sealing of aluminium, steel or wooden window frames, air handling equipment, corrugated roofs and ductings, etc., against water, dust and insects, electrical insulation on bus bars, cable ends or terminations, sealing electrical equipment chambers against water, dust and vermin, which may cause short circuits etc.
