Nextec Technologies, Israel offers Scanning and Digitizing Machine- HAWK Series. It is a unique non-contact laser based 3D system for reverse engineering, CAD modelling, CAD compare, etc. It is equipped with patented point laser to perform accurate scanning which obviates post process cleaning of point cloud data. It is built on CMM platform, available in variety of sizes 240 mm to 12 metres offering excellent accuracies and large dynamic range. Its self calibration function allows scanning of almost all materials, different surface finishes, etc., on the fly. It can scan black to white and to shiny metal in a single scan without any adjustment/ preparation/ calibration. It can also be used for verification of auto parts, moulded parts, moulds, dies, toys, turbine blades, consumer electronics, etc. Real time display of actual scanned points is one of the basic functions of software.
