Nextec Technologies offers 3D Inspection Machine –‘ Hawk ’. This is a laser based 3D inspection system for approving dies, moulds, moulded parts and other similar precision free-form parts. The basic machine is equipped with patented point laser probe for scanning and provides measured data to the software for performing CAD compare. The system is built on CMM platform and can be alternatively utilised as CMM too for geometrical measurements. Different sizes from half to six metres are available as standard, offering excellent accuracies on profile measurements. Its adaptive self-calibration function allows scanning of almost all materials, different surface finishes, etc., on the fly. It can scan opaque, coloured, white, and shiny metal in a single scan without any adjustment / preparation / calibration. Scanned data can be used for reverse engineering, 3D modelling, CAD compare, etc.
