Safety Testing Panel For Domestic Appliances

SCR Elektroniks has introduced an automatic safety testing panel for domestic appliances like irons, mixers, washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, etc. The tests, prescribed in IS 302-1979, such as earth leakage current; high voltage test; insulation resistance test (Megger Test); and earth contact resistance test, are carried out one by one automatically. In manual mode any test can be performed independently. The setup is very useful for mass production testing. It avoids the connections and disconnections of the product for different tests. The total time for entire testing is less than 20 seconds. Salient features/specifications: parameter limit setting with pot meter; the set limit can be seen on respective meters; adjustable timers to set the duration of the test; lamps to indicate the test results "ok"and "not ok"; in case of failure, the testing is stopped; "test over"indication with alarm at the end of tests; and auto/manual selection.
