Solid State Relays

Solid State Relays

Sai Control System offers wide range of Solid State Relays. A solid state relay is a static electronic switch – unlike in an electromechanical relay where switching takes place between two moving contacts, switching in SSR takes place across the junction of semiconductor device. Devices are Triac or Thyristor for AC switching and transistor for DC switching. In most SSRs galvanic separation is achieved by Optocouplers equipped with integrated trigger circuit. This (optoriac) provides the switching function required for the corresponding load type. The company manufactures SSRs from current rating 2 A to 150 A; output voltage – 240 V or 480 V AC; DC output relays with rating 60 V DC 10 A to 100 A.

Advantages of SSR:

  • Long life and high reliability
  • No contact arcing
  • High surge capability
  • High resistance to shock and vibration
  • High resistance to aggressive chemicals and dust
  • No electromechanical noise
  • Fast switching

  • Temperature control system
  • Heater control
  • Injection moulding machine
  • Motor control
  • Lamp control
  • Microprocessor based control
  • CNC machine control
  • Automatic bending machines
