Preferred by automotive design studios worldwide, PolyWorks/Modeler is the only software solution that has demonstrated the capability of creating class A polygonal models for stringent polygonal manufacturing applications such as 3-axis and 5-axis milling, aerodynamic simulation, and digital review. PolyWorks/Modeler also offers a powerful rapid surfacing methodology that delivers the most usable NURBS surfaces in CAD software such as CATIA and UG. Polyworks offers an automatic curve layout tool that tracks the natural curvature lines within minutes all over the input polygonal mesh order to delimit the boundaries of NURBS patches. The tracking algorithm self-detects incorrect patches and removes them continuity and rigidity. Polyworks offers a rigidity factor for mimicking either a flexible material (such as plastic) or rigid material (sheet metal).
