Electroteknica Switchgear wholly owned subsidiary of Vijai Electricals, an ISO 9001: 2000 organisation. The company manufactures vacuum circuit breakers, vacuum contactors and unitised package substations; and automatic voltage regulators, dry type transformers, flameproof vacuum circuit breakers and transwitch unit, load break switch and capacitor switch. The 12 kV Load Break Switch/Ring Main Unit (Type NSSC) is manufactured under technical collaboration with CETEM Spa of Italy. Ring main unit will be either indoor or outdoor type consisting of 2 units of 12 kV 630 A load break switch coupled with one unit of load break switch fuse unit or a vacuum circuit breaker. The LBS/RMU has been type tested at CPRI, Bhopal. The salient ratings of the products are: rated voltage – 12 kV; rated current – 630 A; impulse withstand voltage – 75 kV rms; one minute power frequency withstand voltage – 28 kV rms; short time current – 25 kA rms/3 sec; peak withstand current – 63 kA peak; type of switch – air break; and application – manually operated, fixed type.
