The group has also signed a technology agreement with three major manufacturers for the 2nd phase, one of which is also the 5th largest machine tool manufacturer in the world. Being built with an investment of Rs 40 crore, by the year 2014, the CTP will be designing, developing and manufacturing the most challenging machine tools and complete solutions lines for the end user industry. In the 3rd phase, the company would be working towards a technology alliance to research and develop various types of 5-axis machines.
The CTP, situated on a 3 lakh sq.ft area, will include the five Cosmos group companies and their A grade vendors. Says Bina Khambhaita, executive director at Cosmos, "No one has such a hi-tech technology park in India. Cosmos will be the only one to have such a facility". The Group will sign an MoU with the Gujarat government at Vibrant Gujarat - Global Manufacturing Technology Show (GMTOS 2011) for the same.
