Cooper Corporation, a leading engine, genset, and tractor manufacturer in India, has announced a strategic alliance with Japan’s Sinfonia Technology, a global frontrunner in advanced energy solutions. This partnership brings together decades of engineering excellence and a shared vision for innovation in the clean energy sector.

The collaboration is formalised with the introduction of India’s first CPCB IV+ certified 10 kVA LPG genset, the ‘Daimon Genset.’ The genset sets a new benchmark in sustainable and efficient power generation and will be exclusively manufactured by Cooper Corporation. It will be jointly marketed across India and internationally, reflecting the companies' commitment to technological innovation, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

The genset, model CSG-0010L-IN, will be marketed under the name ‘DAIMON’ in India, named after the town where Sinfonia Technology is based. In Japan, it will be branded ‘SATARA,’ in tribute to the historic town where Cooper Corporation has operated for over a century. This genset offers superior performance, low operational costs, easy maintenance, and a compact design, providing an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional diesel gensets. Running on LPG, it reduces environmental impact while delivering high efficiency.

Farrokh N. Cooper, Chairman & Managing Director of Cooper Corporation Pvt. Ltd., shared, “This partnership with Sinfonia Technology is a significant step in reshaping the energy landscape with cleaner, smarter solutions. The Daimon Genset exemplifies the power of collaboration, combining Japanese precision and Indian engineering to deliver high-efficiency LPG gensets that support industries in transitioning to sustainable and cost-effective power.”

Makoto Saito, General Manager of the Social Infrastructure System Sales Department at Sinfonia Technology, added, “Our collaboration with Cooper Corporation reflects our shared commitment to delivering high-efficiency power solutions. The Daimon Genset, engineered with precision, meets the highest international standards, marking our contribution to a greener future.”

The Daimon Genset complies with India’s CPCB IV+ emission standards, the country’s most stringent environmental regulations aimed at combating air pollution. Powered by Cooper’s indigenously developed lean-burn gas engine, designed in collaboration with Ricardo, UK, it features an Electronic Engine Management System and Isochronous Governing for high power density, low emissions, and super-silent operation. Its compact design makes it ideal for use in diverse applications such as microgrids, educational institutions, retail setups, and industrial operations.

Cooper Corporation will manufacture the gensets at its state-of-the-art facility in Satara, Maharashtra. Both companies will market and distribute the gensets across India and global markets, particularly in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Sinfonia Technology’s expertise in power electronics and global market reach strengthens the partnership, enabling the delivery of world-class clean energy solutions for a sustainable future.
