GP Green Energy Systems through its extensive research and development, avails extremely reliable gasification systems with over 110 installations across the globe. In 2012, Güssing Renewable Energy GmbH, Austria (GRE) partnered with GP Energy in equity and transferred its world class DFB (Dual Fluidised Bed) gasification technology. The technologies implemented by the company for the conversion of waste to energy are updraft gasification process and DFB gasification process.

Updraft gasification process

Syngas and Biomass moves in opposite directions. The partial combustion of biomass and char produces CO and heat energy. Subsequently the reduction and pyrolysis reactions are fuelled by this heat. The arising Syngas comprises of CO, H2 and CH4. At the end of the process, the ash that gets collected at the bottom is removed.

DFB gasification process

The dual fluidized bed (DFB) steam gasification process is considered as the most sophisticated and state of the art process to produce gas from renewable resources in the world. The generated gas is nitrogen-free, low-tar gas with high calorific value. It is a zero-discharge system. The final product is a versatile syngas that allows poly-generation.

In poly-generation, the generation of energy in multiple forms from a single feedstock is a unique feature of a DFB plant. The versatile syngas can be used to produce clean electricity continuously. Further, the same gas can be burnt with a suitable burner to achieve temperature up to 1300 - 1400 °C for any industrial application including district heating. The waste-heat can also be effectively used for chilling or cooling. Also GRE successfully demonstrated conversion of the syngas as synthetic transport fuels and synthetic natural gas.

GP Energy is approved by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, New Delhi and its systems attract cash subsidy and income tax benefits from the government.
