VVDN Technologies, a leading engineering, manufacturing, and digital services provider, has announced its collaboration with the Italian intelligent edge solutions company, Telit Cinterion. VVDN Technologies will be manufacturing cutting-edge 4G and 5G connectivity modules and data cards for Telit Cinterion. To facilitate this, VVDN has established a state-of-the-art surface mount technology line at its manufacturing facility in Manesar, India. This marks the first instance of such modules being manufactured in the country.
In an official statement released, Puneet Agarwal, the CEO and co-founder of VVDN Technologies, revealed that the facility is geared to produce millions of 4G and 5G modules, data cards, and customised products. These components will be utilised locally and exported internationally. The collaboration with Telit is a strategic move aligning with VVDN?s overarching goal of expanding and strengthening the local manufacturing ecosystem.
Agarwal emphasised that VVDN will not only manufacture final products but also engage in mass production of modules and data cards. These components find applications across various industries such as smart energy, electric vehicle charging, smart buildings, telematics, and retail, among others.
VVDN Technologies specialises in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), mechanical engineering, tooling and moulding, die-casting, pre-compliance certification, and advanced cybersecure software and firmware flashing. Additionally, the company is equipped to mass-produce cutting-edge electronic products, establishing itself as a prominent electronics manufacturing services provider.
Paolo Dal Pino, CEO of Telit Cinterion, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, considering it a game changer that would enhance their time-to-customer and lead digital transformation efforts in India.
Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister of Railways, Electronics, IT, and Telecom, inaugurated the facility virtually. He commended India?s progress as a major telecom design, manufacturing, and export hub, citing the telecom manufacturing industry?s maturity. Under the production linked incentive scheme, wherein VVDN is a participant, telecom companies have invested over Rs 2,419 crore. This initiative has resulted in sales worth Rs 34,516 crore, exports amounting to Rs 7,600 crore, and the creation of over 17,753 jobs. Vaishnaw highlighted India's growing reputation as a trusted value chain partner, emphasising the country's successful exports to several countries, including the US, UK, Netherlands, France, Spain, Austria, UAE, and Japan. The minister expressed confidence that more companies would choose India as their preferred manufacturing destination.
