The Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) recently hosted an alumni connect event aimed at enhancing connections between academia and industry. Held on August 10, the event was organised by the training and placement office to foster interactions between alumni and current students.
The gathering featured around 50 alumni and representatives from over 25 leading industries, providing a platform for discussions on new placement and internship opportunities. Dr Sachin D Kore, Director, VJTI showcased the institute's recent research developments and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Dr VN Gupchup, a 1958 civil engineering alumnus and former principal, highlighted the professional achievements of VJTI graduates.
The event reinforced VJTI's commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practice, emphasising the institute's dedication to offering students valuable industry exposure and career opportunities.
