Texmaco Secures Rs 3.57 Bn JSW Order for 20 Freight Wagon Rakes

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has received an LOI from JSW Group Companies to supply 20 freight wagon rakes, strengthening its position in private rail logistics manufacturing.
Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited, a leading player in India’s railway rolling stock and infrastructure sector, has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from JSW Group Companies for the manufacture and supply of 20 freight wagon rakes. The order reinforces Texmaco’s position in India’s private freight wagon manufacturing ecosystem.
Sudipta Mukherjee, Managing Director, Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited, said, “This order from JSW Group Companies further strengthens Texmaco’s long-standing role in supporting India’s expanding private freight wagon ecosystem. As industries increasingly adopt rail-based logistics for efficiency and sustainability, Texmaco remains committed to delivering high-quality rolling stock solutions that enhance freight capacity and operational reliability.”
The order comprises BLCS wagons, BLSS wagons and BFNV wagons, along with BVCM brake vans, designed to support efficient rail logistics operations. The total order value stands at approximately Rs 3.5711 billion, and Rs 4.2138 billion including GST. These wagons are designed for high-capacity container transport and are expected to improve logistics efficiency across industrial supply chains, particularly for containerised cargo movement.
The order reflects the growing participation of private players in rail logistics, driven by Indian Railways’ policy initiatives to improve freight movement efficiency and reduce logistics costs. Texmaco’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and engineering expertise position the company as a preferred partner for both public and private rail freight operators.
