Tega Industries Africa, a mining engineering solutions company, is set to enter the manufacturing of capital equipment following its acquisition of McNally Sayaji Equipment based in the United States. The newly merged entity, Tega McNally Minerals, will expand its offerings to provide a comprehensive range of solutions for the global mining market. These solutions include apron feeders, jaw crushers, ring granulators, hammer mills, vibrating screens, grinding mills, thickeners, flotation cells, scrubbers, slurry pumps, and solid bowl centrifuges.

Having been a critical spares supplier for nearly 50 years, Tega can now deliver complete solutions, covering everything from mills and screens to liners and consumables. The company recently relocated to a larger 45,000 m2 manufacturing facility in Brakpan, South Africa, expanding its capacity to serve clients not only in South Africa but also in Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Botswana, Mozambique, Ghana, Mali, and Burkina Faso.

CEO Vishal Gautam emphasised Tega's commitment to collaboration with clients to enhance productivity through innovative solutions during a technical conclave in Pretoria on November 21. Tega, with its subsidiaries in India and manufacturing facilities in Chile, Australia, South Africa, and India, has become a trusted solutions provider in materials handling, wear, and ore separation in the mining and mineral processing industry.

Gautam highlighted one of Tega's successful innovations, the DynaPrime combination liner, which combines steel and rubber to create a lighter, quicker to install, and more durable liner compared to conventional steel liners. The hybrid liner not only reduces weight and installation time but also enhances safety for operators. Additionally, it offers improved shock absorption and load tension retention compared to cast liners during initial operation.
