ICONICS rebrands as Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions

ICONICS, a leader in SCADA automation, digitalisation, and smart buildings software, has officially rebranded as Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions (MEIDS). This transformation signifies the company’s deep integration with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, enhancing its global reach, technological capabilities, and commitment to innovation.

Mitsubishi Electric has supported ICONICS’ growth for over a decade, culminating in its full acquisition in 2019. The name change reinforces MEIDS' role as Mitsubishi Electric’s global platform for SCADA automation and digitalisation, combining ICONICS' pioneering expertise with Mitsubishi Electric’s industrial and digital strength.

Legacy, evolution, and future growth
The new name reflects MEIDS' commitment to industrial digitalisation, infrastructure advancements, and smart, sustainable solutions. Retaining the Iconics brand acknowledges its legacy in SCADA and digital transformation, while "Digital Solutions" represents its expansion into next-generation technologies and intelligent services.

Ted Hill, President & CEO, MEIDS, emphasised, “This is more than a name change—it’s a declaration of who we are and where we’re headed. Backed by Mitsubishi Electric’s global strength, we are poised to drive the future of industrial automation and smart infrastructure with even greater resources and innovation.”

Innovation with global strength
MEIDS continues to develop cutting-edge SCADA and digitalisation solutions while benefiting from Mitsubishi Electric’s extensive ecosystem in industrial automation, intelligent infrastructure, and energy management. This alignment strengthens its ability to deliver world-class technology solutions globally.

Commitment to continuous innovation
As part of its strategic growth, MEIDS has launched its flagship GENESIS platform (version 11) and continues to release quarterly updates to its Intelligent Building Software Stack (IBSS). The rebrand marks the next chapter in SCADA automation, smart buildings, and industrial digitalisation, driving efficiency, sustainability, and long-term impact.
