Honeywell Automation India Limited appoints Atul Pai as MD

Honeywell Automation India Limited (HAIL) (NSE: HONAUT) has
announced the appointment of Atul Pai
as its Managing Director, effective May 16, 2024. He takes over from Ashish
Gaikwad, who is transitioning to the role of India Leader for Industrial
Automation within Honeywell International Inc’s strategic business groups.

Chairman & Independent Director, HAIL, remarked, “With over two decades of
experience at Honeywell in various regional and global capacities, Atul will
offer valuable strategic guidance to HAIL, driving growth, customer value, and
strengthening our local brand.” Natarajan highlighted Pai’s extensive
background in business and building automation as particularly beneficial for
HAIL.
Ashish Modi,
Non-executive Director, HAIL & President, Honeywell India, expressed
confidence in Pai’s ability to lead, citing his tenure at Honeywell and
understanding of the business. Modi thanked Gaikwad for his past leadership
contributions.
Pai, who joined HAIL in 2001, has served in various
leadership positions within the company. He notably held the position of Global
CFO for Honeywell Building Solution and served as Operations Controller for
Honeywell. He has been a Member of the HAIL Board of Directors since 2021. Pai,
a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University, expressed
enthusiasm for his new role, emphasising HAIL's pioneering role in India’s
industrial and building automation journey.
