Enerpac enhances ETR Series trolleys with higher capacity

Enerpac has enhanced the ETR-Series Trolley System with higher capacity trolleys and swivel plates to accommodate header beams and other lifting systems. With a 50 metric ton (500 kN) and now 100 metric ton (1000 kN) capacity per trolley, the electrically driven trolleys can carry heavy loads up to 800 metric tons (8000 kN) horizontally in a continuous smooth movement, including acceleration and deceleration.

The ETR-Series Trolley System uses a low-profile, 200 mm wide steel plate track and can be configured for up to eight trolleys from a single powerpack. Traveling as fast as 50 m/hour (82 ft/hour) when loaded, the trolleys offer continuous forward/reserve movement via a self-contained electric drive. All the trolleys movements are synchronised wirelessly with handheld controller.

Enerpac recently successfully completed overload testing of a four trolley, 500 kN ETR Trolley system to transport a 223te load (110%) of the safe working load.

“Compared with traditional methods of heavy lift transport, such as skidding systems, the Enerpac ETR trolley system has significant operational advantages. Loads move smoothly in a continuous movement both forwards and backwards along the low-profile track increasing the options for industrial movers and manufacturers building large complex structures,” said Pete Crisci, Product Line Director, Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology.

Additional features and benefits include high side load resistance, and high capacity per mechanically locked, trolley point. The Enerpac ETR is readily expandable and easy to transport and set up.

Enerpac is a global market leader in high pressure hydraulic tools, controlled force products, portable machining, on-site services and solutions for precise positioning of heavy loads. As a leading innovator with a 110-year legacy, Enerpac has helped move and maintain some of the largest structures on earth. When safety and precision matters, elite professionals in industries such as aerospace, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas and power generation rely on Enerpac for quality tools, services and solutions.
