Amid growing interest in defence technology and surging drone demand, Garuda Aerospace, one of India’s foremost drone manufacturers, has received a strategic investment from the Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office (NSFO) ahead of its forthcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO). The round also drew continued support from existing backers, including WFC (We Founder Circle). This development marks a crucial chapter in Garuda Aerospace’s expansion, following the success of ‘Operation Sindoor Defence Drone Surge.’ It comes on the heels of a Rs 1 billion Series B round led by Venture Catalysts (VCats), reaffirming investor trust in Garuda’s innovation and strategic execution.

This infusion of capital is set to significantly boost Garuda Aerospace’s growth trajectory. A primary objective is to enhance production capacity from 8,000 to 12,000–15,000 drones per annum, with a longer-term target of 50,000 units annually. Additionally, the funding will accelerate R&D efforts to achieve complete indigenisation of both airborne and ground-based defence drone systems within 3–5 years, strengthening India’s technological self-sufficiency in defence. The company also aims to expand its export operations to 50 countries by 2025.

“We are pleased to have the Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office join us as a strategic investor. Their confidence in our vision validates our mission to establish a global drone-tech leader from India. This investment propels our next stage of development, grounded in innovation, patriotism, and international scale,” said Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace.

The recent Indo-Pak skirmishes have highlighted the critical need for indigenous drone capability, placing Garuda Aerospace at the forefront of India’s defence-tech advancement. Initially renowned for agricultural drones, the company has swiftly evolved into a versatile manufacturer, delivering advanced drone solutions for surveillance, reconnaissance, and logistics in defence. Garuda has delivered over 4,000 drones to date, servicing 400+ clients through strategic alliances with global firms such as Thales, Elbit Systems, Lockheed Martin, and Cognizant. In collaboration with Defence PSUs like HAL and BEML, and social initiatives like “Namo Drone Didi,” Garuda remains committed to national service. The company continues to build on strong operational foundations, domain expertise, and diversified sectoral presence.
