All the hoist parts are enclosed in the main housing forming integral units; three phase totally enclosed squirrel cage high torque induction motors are used; grooved rope drum is manufactured by rolling, welding and precision machining high quality mild steel; rope guide is precision machined to suit rope drum grooves and moves over the drum like a nut; the gearbox is splash lubricated type, and all helical/spur and pinions are case hardened - all models have a triple reduction gearbox; generally rope wire conforms to 6 x 37 construction fibre core, ungalvanized performed type as per IS 2266/1977, galvanized and steel core wire ropes; a fail safe disc/shoe type electromagnetic brake is provided to hold the load at any position; and fully adjustable self resetting limit switches are provided for top and bottom limits of the hook travel.
