Vacuum Sealing Compound

Wearresist Technologies offers a range of maintenance products and consumables, coatings and lubricants. Vacuum sealing compound, MWR 8020, is a silicone based coating giving superlative chemical resistance. It has low volatility and vapour pressure of base. Properties include: relatively constant consistency over a wide range of temperature (-)400 °C to (+)2200°C; applied in high vacuum and high pressure systems as a sealant; gives worked penetration (@ 25°C) as per ASTM D-217 @ 250-280 (0.1 mm unit); and has a dropping point of (+)250°C as per ASTM D-566 and electric strength of 15 kv/mm. Applications: lubricant cum sealant for stop cocks, glass joints and equipment for chemical process; lubrication of synthetic rubber 'O' rings, seals and gaskets; and as a masking film in plastics, PVC and polyesters. Packing: 1.4 kg.
