Portable Oil Skimmer

Pratap Tex-Chem Pvt Ltd, an ISO 9001: 2008 company, offers a Portable Oil Skimmer, FluidmateTM OS 001. Users of cutting fluids have frequent complains about lubrication oil leakages into the machining centre sumps thereby deteriorating the cutting fluid health and increase in number of machine breakdowns which would ultimately affect the productivity. Many conventional oil skimmers (belt type, disc type, etc), are ineffective due to limited reach, slow rate of oil removal and removal of cutting fluid along with the floating tramp oil. FluidmateTM OS 001 addresses these concern with features like: high rate of oil removal up to 6 ltr per hour; reaches and removes oil from areas under the machining centre; works for long hours due to quick cooling motor; custom made tubes as per customer requirement; standard tube sizes 6”, 12”, 18” and 24”; and easy mounting and dismounting and portability. How it works: The tube floats from one corner to other corner of the sump and it does not sink in the solution or emulsion or water below the oily surface; attracts only floating oil, leaving aside water and other solid and sticky particles below the oil; oil which is adhered to the tube is scraped by the scrapers and this scraped oil is flows through an outlet and is collected in a container; and the clean tube cycled back to the surface of the sump to collect more oil.
