Plates

Uspit, of the Lorenz Group of Germany and having their plant in Italy, specialize in the manufacture of index plates with high accuracy and for long life. The machining accuracy of gears and of splined shafts and axles depends on the index plates used. Uspit index-plates are produced from hot forged alloy-steel discs, and not from blanks flame-cut from sheets. Their metallurgical structure, therefore, is very dense. The raw material used is very high-grade non-deformable steel. The company also manufactures master gears for the automotive and the 2-wheeler indus- try as per quality 3 and 4 of DIN 3962/63 standards.
