Indexing Table, Automatic
The automatic indexing table is a medium/heavy-duty indexing table for the operations of automotive manufacturing or assembly at high speeds. The table is suitable for up to 16 stations equally divided over its circumference and an operating speed of up to 300 cycles per minute. The movement is entirely free from vibrations. The indexing starts with zero velocity and ends with zero velocity, due to the special cam mechanism inside the table. This cycle can continue to operate non stop for any number of hours or days. It is free of any pneumatic or hydraulic systems and does not suffer from jerks or incomplete movement due to pressure loss. More than one component can be processed per cycle, if the total number of stations could be divided into sub groups of 2, 4, or 8, with each of these groups giving a finished component. In this way, many processed components will come out of the indexing table, one from each group of stations. Table is available for axial loads ranging from 250 kg up to 18 tonne, according to the model chosen. The table is normally equipped with a reduction gearbox, driven by a self braking motor and a clutch. It has to be ordered for a fixed number of stations.
