Micro Hardness Tester

Hardness Testing counts as one of the most widely used testing methods in modern-mechanical- technological Materials Testing. The hardness of materials provides an excellent indication of the mechanical properties of a material. Vickers hardness tests may be performed on materials (usually metals) on which a permanent impression is to be created and whose hardness is less than diamond hardness. Knoop hardness test is suitable for hardness testing of all test subjects for which Vickers test would also be suitable and is preferred for hardness testing of test subject, whose surfaces are convex or whose hardened depth is very thin. Brinell hardness tests are performed preferably on metallic mill products. Vickers hardness tester is also used for testing various metals and finished components like bearing shafts, rollers, thin films, surface-hardened parts, parts manufactured in powder metallurgy processes and brittle parts.
