Level Switches

Sbem offers Level Switches, 135-VLM. It is a miniature vibrating fork type switch ensured by versatility, provided by their principle of operation. It is mainly for liquids and free-flowing solids. It works on the principle of a change in frequency of a vibrating fork due to presence of a liquid / solid. Features: low power, microprocessor based intelligent device, compact in size, setting of FSH/FSL is possible without removal of instrument from process with the help of magnetic key, no down time required. It offers protection against short-circuited load, switch configuration programmable. It covers a large variety of level detection applications. Specifications: fork material is SS316; process connection is threaded 1"; maximum pressure is 40 bar maximum; media temperature is - 40 to + 80 degree C, -400 to + 1800 degree C (optional); ambient temperature is - 20 to + 70 degree C; insertion length is 69-3000 mm; process connection size is 1" BSP minimum; sensitivity settings for liquids - low -if density 0.7 kg/dm3, for solids - low - if density 0.05 kg/dm3; sensitivity programming & fail safe high/low - led sequence, field selectable by magnetic key; output rating is PNP transistor, 300ma maximum; electric connections is pg 11; supply voltage is 24 VDC ± 10%; degree of protection is IP65; power consumption is 17 ma @ 24 VDC; density of medium is liquid 0.7 kg/dm3, solids 0.05 kg/dm3; liquid viscosity is 6000 CPS, switching time is 2 seconds; output mode indicator is bi-colour led, green - normal, red flash - alarm. Applications: all liquids for process vessels, tanks; to check presence of liquid in inlet, outlets piping; light, free flowing solids; open collector contact output; fit and forget device: simple installation, no maintenance; switching performance does not depend on the change of liquid conductivity, dielectric constant, viscosity, pressure and temperature; suitable for food, edible oils and hydrogenated fats; hygienic versions with various process connections for milk / food applications.
