Hydraulic Universal Cylindrical Grinding Machines

Smithson Machine Tools has introduced a hydraulic universal cylindrical grinding machine. Construction: the body and slides are made of high grade cast iron, duly seasoned, rigid and strong enough to prevent distortion and wear, guide ways are precision hand scraped/ground to match the corresponding surface of slides, etc. Table slide is hydraulically operated and the cross-slide is hydro mechanically operated, quick hydraulic retraction and forward movement of cross-slide is provided. The cut is taken manually to avoid any damage to the work piece and grinding wheel. Work head is of a swivelling type, to grind angular as well as conical jobs. The work spindle has been designed to suit live centre as well as dead centre grinding. The machine is fully installed with electric motors, switchgears and wiring, normally arranged to suit the supply of 400/440 V, 3-phase AC 50 Hz. Standard equipment: one coolant pump fitted on tank, one dressing tool holder (optional), one grinding wheel fitted on, grease gun, oil can, two dead centres, key spanners one set; and wheel flange fitted on.
