Hot dip galvanising is a process of applying a zinc coating to iron or steel surface for protection against corrosion. During the galvanising process a series of alloy layers are formed due to a metallurgical reaction that takes place between steel and zinc. The zinc coating protects the base metal by acting as an impervious shield between the metal and atmosphere and provides additional protection even when moderately sized areas of base metal surface are exposed. Hot dip galvanising gives excellent corrosion protection to steel, two levels of protection, long life, freedom from rust, and low maintenance. Features: well equipped pre-treatment section with facilities for degreasing; bath size of 13.0 m (L) x 1.5 m (D) x 1.0 m (W); structures up to 13.0 m length can be galvanised in single dipping; three EOT cranes of 5 MT capacity each for efficient material handling; multi-burner oil fired with automatic temperature control system with drier bed; 120 kVA exclusive power available, obtained from a separate transformer; 160 kVA DG set for back up power availability; fully equipped laboratory with modern facilities to carry out quality control checks; experienced, trained and qualified technical staff; monthly capacity of 3000 tonnes; and the company certified by IQNet for ISO 9001:2000.
