Quill Feed Drill/Mill Units (Pneumatic/Hydraulic)

Thakoor Electromechanical's hydraulic or pneumatically operated Quill Feed Units, QD-12 and QD-25 Models are suitable for drilling, reaming, boring and light milling applications. These quill feed units are characterised by their inline feeding mechanism, where spindle, sleeve, oil-cylinder and limit stops are installed around one common axis. This eliminates the bending moments on the spindle sleeve while feeding/cutting, and reduces the wear to minimum. Rugged mechanical design with precision honed Cl body and hardened and ground spindle ensure the trouble-free operation even under continuous use. QDS 12-H and QD-25-H are hydraulic units with drilling capacities of dia 12 mm and 25 mm in steel, respectively. The pneumatically operated units are for 6 mm and 12 mm capacities, respectively. QD units can be mounted in any position. With long stroke and ability to give number of woodpecking cycles QD units can be used for deep hole drilling/reaming operations. With suitable changes, these units can also be used for boring applications.
