The Heule chamfering tool DEFA is the result of the continuation in development of the GH-S chamfering tool, which has been used all over the world for many years with great success. The outstanding advantages of the DEFA chamfering tool is its possibility to preset the required chamfer size exactly at the tool and that the chamfer size is no longer dependent on the spring pressure. The precision chamfering of holes as well as of sequences of holes, forward and backward in a single work operation, without stopping the spindle or changing the sense of rotation, is the speciality of the DEFA chamfering tool. The required chamfer size can be exactly calculated and already in the tool room be preset on the tool. It can of course be changed any time. Due to the new generation of blades, the chamfer size is no longer dependent on the spring pressure. This matured and technically high-precision blade geometry offers a maximum of repetition accuracy. Function: the two cutting edges, at the front and at the back of the blade, cut away plane even large burr formations. As soon as the non-cutting definition surfaces of the blades come in touch with the workpiece, they push, ie, steer the blades continuously into the tool. In this way the angle of the definition surface is copied to the chamfer which has to be cut. In the hole, the blades glide on the ball-shaped ground surface. Thus, any damage of the hole surface is impossible. As soon as the blades will be free again on the back side of the hole, ie, completely driven out of the hole, they extend to their preset starting position and the same machining procedure can be realized from the reverse side.
