Aviation Obstruction Lights

Binay Opto Electronics has developed LED-based aviation obstruction lights as replacement for existing filament bulbs or neon spiral type aviation light units. These are characterized by extremely long life (1,00,000 hours, or 11 years), and low per consumption of 10 watts to 25 watts only. The solid-state LED construction utilizes an omni directional matrix of extremely high brightness LEDs, which provide light intensities comparable to the existing aviation lights. These LED units are maintenance free, and are a `fit-and-forget' solution since they never require replacement. As such, while the initial cost is higher than that of conventional units, the payback period of these LED aviation lights is extremely short. These LED lights are designed in GEC type cast-metal dust-resistant weatherproof light fittings, and are sealed against dust and water ingress. They are available in both single and double lamp units. The lights are available in two sizes, and in both low and medium intensities (for differing height ranges, as specified by the International Civil Aviation Organisation). They come with a three-year guarantee.
