Binay Opto Electronics, an ISO 9001:2000 company, offers model 300² MiniATM-1x1 luminaire. This is a 300 x 300 mm PowerLED luminaire, suitable for indoor mounting on ceilings. Manufactured with long-life high intensity LEDs (from reputable American and European manufacturers) having lumen efficiency of 100 lumens per watt in cool white (5500°K - 6500°K), these luminaires are available in surface mount or recess mount fittings. They can be recess mounted in a square cutout of 300 x 300 mm (1’ x 1’). High efficiency is assured by careful selection of quality LEDs, proper optics and high performance SMPS type LED drivers. These are ideal for mounting in corridors, smaller rooms, kitchens and other such smaller areas in commercial and residential structures. Suitable thermal management design procedures are employed for keeping the diode P-N junction cool (as a 10?rise in junction temperature can reduce the LED chip life by 50%). The luminaires are available in three wattage ratings: 12 W, 20 W and high power 30 W, as follows: Model 300² MiniATM-1x1/12-L – typical lumen output 1000 lumens, power consumption 12 W approx (replaces 2 x 18W CFLs having a total wattage of 44 W with ballast); Model 300² MiniATM-1x1/20-L – typical lumen output 1600 lumens, power consumption 20 W approx (replaces 2 x 26 W CFLs having a total wattage of 65 W with ballast); and Model 300² MiniATM-1x1/30-L – typical lumen output 2400 lumens, power consumption 30 W approx (replaces 2 x 36 W CFLs having a total wattage of 130 W with ballast). The designed life is 50,000 hours to L70 or 100,000 hours to L50. All L-Series models are covered under a limited warranty of 5 years. Luminaires are also available in warm white (2700ºK - 3000ºK) output; however, the delivered mesopic lumen value in warm white will be reduced by 25-30% of the above values respectively. Special types are available with high colour rendering index (Ra) of 90-95 for those applications where colour discrimination is critical.
