Coating Process, Tricorr

Tribology India offers Tricorr, a unique three-step Coating Process that ensures excellent adhesion, even on the difficult to coat inside of threaded parts. The three-step process begins with effective surface preparation to thoroughly remove all rust, scale, manufacturing oil and contaminants. Then, an adhesion primer coat to create a powerful chemical bond between base and top coat is applied. A heat cured, custom-formulated fluoropolymer coating is applied as top coat. This process provides a lower coefficient of friction for quick, easy application and reliable removal with ordinary wrenches even under extreme exposure to salt water or corrosive chemicals. Corrosion resistance of more than 1500 hours in Salt Spray as per ASTM B117 can be obtained. This coating performs better than zinc alloy platings like zinc-nickel, zinc-cobalt, etc., at comparable cost. It is chromium free, and the colour can be black, blue or silver.
