Sursulf furnaces

Tribology India Limited, a Chennai-based organisation, manufactures sursulf furnaces, which are electrical furnaces designed for energy efficiency and non-pollution.These furnaces with stainless steel pot have resistance heated electrical system and desludging facility. Extremely quick heating enables single shift operations and the automatic temperature controller with back up controller ensures system safety. These save energy up to 50 percent as compared to conventional brick based units. The ranges of the diameter and height of stainless steel pot are 500-1,000 mm and 800-1,500, respectively. Portable sursulf furnaces, which are light in weight and easy to handle have regulated airflow system and automatic control system for heat input. These products with fine regulating elements, valves, thermocouples and switchgear have optional alarm systems for over temperature. Furnace rating ranges from 18 to 96 kW and the gross weight of the furnace without salt ranges from 445 to 1,175 kgs.
