Head Mounted Temperature Transmitter is used for processing signals from RTDs and thermocouples. Temperature transmitters are generally head mounted and fitted in the head of temperature sensor. An LED provides a visual indication of sensor fault and programming mode. These transmitters are simply ranged and calibrated on the bench by using a single board push button switch. Digital technology ensures accurate and drift free linearisation to common curves, providing a level of performance not possible with earlier analogue type transmitters.
