Zero speed switch

Gadiya Electronics, catering to automation needs offers products based on microcontrollers. Zero speed switch, also based on microcontroller, gives signal when the speed being monitored drops to zero. This is a non-contact type unit and uses a proximity sensor for sensing the speed. The unit has an enable input. On receipt of this signal the ZSS scans for speed. When the speed drops to zero and output (potential free) is energised, which can be used for tripping the system or giving warning signal. Multiple outputs if re quired can also be given. The zero speed can be actually zero or some preset speed, which is minimum speed allowable. The unit also acts as an RPM indicator unit displaying the current speed. The unit works on 230 V AC and has battery back-up to store the set speed and number of pulses per rotation.
