Pull Cord Switch with Integral Junction Box

Pull Cord Switch, Series PC, is used to stop the conveyor belt during an emergency. It is a safety device which is provided with separate junction box for ease of wiring, which when operated stops the motor of the belt conveyor and gives out an audio-visual alarm. The Pull Cord Switch is housed in dust and weatherproof cast aluminium enclosure having IP65 grade of protection. Sturdy and heavy-duty cam-switch with robust contacts is used to give longer service life. A handle fitted with spring steel rings at both the ends is provided for fixing the rope. The design of the rings gives maximum flexibility in operating conditions. The enclosure is epoxy painted for corrosion resistance.
The switch is designed with manual reset type of mechanism. The switch is mounted on the walkway side of the conveyor belt, preferably at about every 30 metres of length. The rope is tied to the end rings of the handle. When the rope is pulled from any side, the switch is activated. Unless and until the handle is reset to the normal position manually, the switch remains in operated condition. Standard model of Pull Cord switch with integral junction box is been provided with 1 NO + 1 NC output contact and special model with 2NO+2NC output contacts are also available.
