Infrared Proximity Switches
Infrared Proximity Switches are miniature in size and find application in almost every industry where high sensing range, miniature construction is required. The special modulated beam makes it immune for use in industrial atmosphere. Switches with fibre optic cable are offered to sense miniature components like tablet, print mark, pouches, and caps. Protocontrol provides three types of infrared switches:
- Diffuse type - Diffuse models are available having sensing distance up to 5 metres.
- Retro-Reflective type - Retro reflective switches with mirror are offered up to 10 meters range.
- Through Beam type - Through beam sensors are available up to 25 Meters range.
- Built-in termination chamber, universal supply (AC as well as DC) and potential free relay contact outputs are available.
- Models with teach function and background suppression are developed to sense change in colour or to sense parts on shiny surface.
- Print mark sensors are offered with high response speed so as to detect pouch traveling at high speed.
