DC Control Switches

Elmex Controls offers DC Control Switches. These switches are designed for signaling and indication application and are provided with Notch type insulated discs to actuate the contacts of snap action switch. Specification: the snap action mechanism prevents slow contact opening even when activating shaft is operated slowly. DC arc extinction is achieved through two high power permanent magnets. The polarity of DC magnets is set at factory to allow any of the positive (+ve) or negative (-ve) conductor connection to either of the control switch terminals, without affecting arc-extinction process. For this purpose, four different colours are provided for control switch housing, blue or black for NC-contact switches and green or yellow for NO-contact switches. The control switch hardware (including mounting channel and screws) is of non-magnetic material. The self-cleaning silver contacts are also designed for high breaking capacity. The screw-terminals are available with two conductors, 2.5 sq-mm maximum is above the screw terminals is 4.8 x 0.8 mm as per DIN 4627. Such termination is also provided in place of screw terminals. The control switches are activated simultaneously by mounting in tandem. In such assembly, plug-in terminal is accessible only on top most control switch. The switches are fitted on changeover mechanism 4, 6, 8, 10, 14, or 16 numbers. These discs are set at desired angle in steps of 10.
