Elmex offers a wide range of Fuse Terminal Blocks. Applications in control and instrumentation require circuit protection facility by provision of fuse. Elmex terminal blocks come with built-in safety fuse lever/fuse holder. These terminal blocks accommodate a glass cartridge fuse of size 5 x 20, 5 x 25 or 6 x 32 mm. Fuse terminal blocks are constructed using insulation housing made of polyamide 6,6 and are available with screw-clamp type and screw-less type terminal assemblies. Fuse holder is made of special grade phosphor bronze and hence offers low contact resistance. Salient features of type KUDF 4 with blown fuse indication: this terminal block is suitable for flow of current in both directions (bidirectional); terminal block selected for a specified voltage is suitable for both AC as well as DC voltages; the blown fuse indication is by high efficiency and high visibility SUIT (surface mount technology) LED (series 1206 package chip LED) that replaces conventional leaded LED which is soldered either by hand soldering/manual soldering process; as the circuit for blown fuse indication (BFI) is housed in the lever, the circuit gets disconnected when the lever is open; SMT LED is mounted on PCB by high precision 'automatic pick and place' machine and is soldered on PCB by IR reflow soldering process ensuring consistent soldering quality; as the SMT LED is directly soldered on PCB which is housed in the lever, LED position remains fixed and chances of its misalignment during opening and closing of lever, are eliminated; and lever is provided with a polycarbonate cover which serves the purpose of covering the assembled PCB housed in the lever. The lever is having a slot in its centre to facilitate proper viewing/display of LED when it glows under fault conditions.
