Interface board

Bangalore-based Concept Electronics offers interface board, Model PCI-GPIB-1M. This IEEE-488 interface converts any PCI bus personal computer into an instrumentation control and data acquisition system. It connects up to 14 instruments using standard IEEE-488 cables such as the C488-2M, 2-metre IEEE-4888 interface cable. The board is designed around the new industry standard CB7210.2 GPIB chip. Features: IEEE 4888.2 standard interface; complete talker/listener/controller/uses the new industry standard B7210.2; industry standard 32-bit PCI bus; data transfer rates over 1megabyte/sec; REP-INSW block transfer; 1024 word FIFO buffer; high speed state machine bus manager; RF shielded IEEE-488 cable connector; 7 interrupt lines; shared interrupt capability; and transparent interrupt enabling/disabling. This also includes GPIB-library complete software support.
