Concept electronics offers expanding line of Type 11 PCMCIA interface cards from Computer Boards Inc of USA. The PCM-DAC02 supplies two channels of analogue output for adjustment of voltage controlled devices. Each channel delivers dependable 12-bit accuracy of 1 part in 4095. The ranges for the outputs are software selectable for ?5 V, ?10 V bipolar and 0-5 V, 0-10 V unipolar. Conveniently provided on the card are eight bi-directional digital I/O bits, which are programmable through software for inputs. These bits may be set for all the eight as inputs or all eight as outputs and are practical for closure monitoring or generating strobe, pulse and other timing signals. The PCM-DAC02 is useful in mobile applications for controlling voltage proportional valves, servo motors or any variable control device. The best feature of the PCM-DAC02 is its portability. Take it out on the production floor to adjust a process, to a remote site where no electricity is available or in mobile testing (such as in an airplane or automobile), where adjustments are needed on the move. A recommended accessory is the PCM-TERM15. This screw terminal box, with a 10"attached cable, connects to the PCM-DAC02 for easy access to the board's control pins and accommodates 12-22 AWG connection wire.
