Plc For Small Size Control Applications

SA3 is a compact PLC suitable for small size control applications. Featuring a high degree of application flexibility, it serves as a good solution for most of the problems faced in hardwired relays and timers. The basic unit of SA3 supports 12 digital inputs (DI) and 08 digital outputs (DO). The I/O capacity can be enhanced up to 28 DIs and 18 DOs with the connection of single expansion unit. The output can be either relay or transistor to suit various applications. SA3 is programmed either using a hand held terminal (HHT) or a PC based programming package using conventional relay like ladder diagram combined with function blocks. Other standard features include watchdog for CPU, 8 kB battery backed memory with EEPROM back up and software timers and counters (64 each). Typical scan time of SA3 for 1 K of program is 3 ms. Front facia indications are available to show Power On, System Healthy, communication and I/O status. Built-in serial port is available for communication with programming devices or with operator interfaces like operator panel SAX-T01.
