Energy saver

Chennai-based Vijay Energy Products offers an energy saver for textile motors. This is designed for use with ring frames, TFOTs, carding machines and other textile machinery. When the load on the motor is lower than 50 percent, the motor is operated in Star mode to save energy, obtain higher power factor and reduced maximum demand. The load is low on the motor at start of doff and during this period it is operated in Star and goes to Delta when the load increases. It is to be used with the star delta starter of the motor. In case the motor is operated with a DOL starter, an additional contactor is to be used.
