Vijay Energy Products offers an Air Conditioner (AC) Energy Saver. With emphasis on reducing carbon emissions and the obvious benefit of reducing escalating energy costs the air conditioner energy saver is a must use energy saving device. A one tonne air conditioner consumes about 1.5 units per hour and a 1.5 tonne unit about 2.2 units per hour. 10% to 50% of this energy can be saved (based on settings) using the AC energy saver. Micro controller based AC energy saver is also offered, with a predetermined programme (as per customer's choice). This is suitable for varying the On and Off times based on time. The thermostat fitted in the air conditioner provides only a crude control of the temperature resulting in overshoot or undershoot of the temperature, which results in wastage of energy. Further, when the thermostat fails (which invariably happens), the AC works continuously and it is difficult to recognise this failure and take corrective action. This results in wastage of energy. The power saved can be anywhere between 0.2 units per hour to about 1.0 unit per hour depending upon the setting chosen. The cost of the AC energy saver can be recovered in a very short time, in some cases less than 6 months depending upon the setting chosen and the cost of electrical energy. It can be easily installed in less than a minute anybody. Settings can be altered very easily.
