Energy saver for air conditioners

Vijay Energy Products offers a wide range of energy saving devices for various equipments using electricity. A one tonne air conditioner consumes about 1.5 units per hour and a 1.5 tonne unit about 2.2 units/hour. 10 to 20 per cent of this energy can be saved (based on setting) using the AC energy saver. The unit consists of a cyclic timer with one having a fixed setting of 15 minutes and another selectable between the 2 values provided which can be 2 and 4 minutes in one model and another where the setting can be altered from 2 to 9 minutes in 1 minute steps which means that there are 8 possible alternatives. The power saved can be anywhere between 0.2 units per hour to about 1.0 unit per hour depending upon the setting chosen. The cost of the AC energy saver can be recovered in a very short time, in some cases less than 6 months, depending on the setting chosen and the cost of electrical energy.
