Vijay Energy Products offers AC Surge Barriers for protection. Surges, transients, ground potential rises, spikes, brownouts, sags, RFI, EMI have become all-pervasive in this age of technology. These high energy, short duration, random pulse waveforms are generated by lightning strikes (even at a long distance), electromagnetic induction and electrical load switching. Simple parallel MOV protection across line and neutral is not sufficient. Protection has to be provided for all the three modes, viz., L-N, N-E and L-E. Best results are obtained from series parallel combination of GDTs/MOVS along with common mode inductors, X/Y capacitors. The AC surge barrier absorbs and dissipates excessive energy into earth in order to protect sensitive electronic equipment like computers, printers, instruments and control equipment from breakdown and malfunction. This combination of surge protection components together with series inductors and capacitors reduce di/dt as well as dv/dt of transients including EMI /RFI high frequency noise. These high end protection systems safeguard and extend the life of sensitive electronic equipment by providing common and differential mode protection. This hybrid design is suitable for electronic equipment operating in harsh electrical environments where interference is frequent and intensive.
