Digital Insulation Tester

PLA introduces a Digital Insulation Tester, DM-11, which replaces all traditional motorised testers. It is a very compact, handy, fully battery operated device (mains operation at option) with 3digit LCD readout. It gives immediate reading and can be used anywhere, in labs or outside. Hand cranking is not required. This instrument can be used to measure cable insulation, industrial wiring insulation, leakage between contacts and body in switches, switchgear, etc. Various test voltages are available from 50 V to 1000 V DC (standard 500 V DC) with stability better than 1%. Insulation between PCB tracks is very nicely measured by this instrument. Because of high insulation range and high resolution, any contamination between the tracks can be detected. This leads to tight incoming quality control on PCBs. Test voltage of 50 V is advantageous when insulation of electronic circuit with lower breakdown voltage components is to be checked. Different ranges available are 0-200 , 0-2000 and 0-20,000 . The instrument is short circuit protected, accurate, and above all, most economically priced.
